- My Verdict: A lot has changed since these two sides last met in the Carabao Cup semi-final 1st leg at the King Power arena. Leicester City were beaten by rock-bottom Norwich City last week to make it 4 matches without a win in the Premier League. In fact, Leicester City have scored just 1 goal in their last 4 matches in all competitions.
- However, they will be up against an obliging Aston Villa defence that has conceded more goals than any other side this season. Villa played well in their 2-1 Carabao Cup Final loss to Manchester City last Sunday and they will pick up some confidence from that. Also, they drew 1-1 with Leceister City in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final and eventually knocked them out of the competition.
- Leicester City got a major boost when they defeated Birmingham City in the FA Cup on Wednesday night. They will be eyeing revenge against Aston Villa tonight.
