The Europa League resumes on Thursday as Belarussian giants FC BATE Borisov host Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal on Matchday 2 in Barysaw.
While BATE Borisov drew 1-1 away with Red Star Belgrade on Matchday 1, Arsenal overcame the challenge of FC Koln at the Emirates stadium.
Let’s jump straight into the Team News.
BATE Borisov Team News
BATE are likely to stick with the same starting XI that drew 1-1 with Red Star Belgrade two weeks ago. Arsene Wenger’s troops will have to keep an eye on the BATE’s impressive No. 10 Mirko Ivanic, who is likely to be the biggest attacking threat to the Gunners backline. Nikolay Signevich, who came off the bench to score against Belgrade, may get a look into the starting XI.
Probable XI: Denis Scherbitski; Denis Polyakov, Nemanja Milunovic, Vitali Gajduchik, Aleksey Rios; Stanislav Dragun, Aleksandr Volodko; Igor Stasevich, Mirko Ivanic, Mikhail Gordeychuk; Vitali Rodionov.

Arsenal Team News
Arsene Wenger is expected to make a host of changes to the Arsenal starting XI that won 2-0 at home against West Brom on Monday night. Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal, Hector Bellerin and Petr Cech have not travelled with the Arsenal squad to Belarus. While David Ospina will star in goal, the defence is set to comprise of Mertesacker, Holding and Mustafi.
Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are likely to operate as wing-backs in Arsenal’s 3-6-1 formation. Giroud will start up front with Walcott and Wilshere expected to operate behind him.
Probable XI: Ospina; Holding, Mertesacker, Mustafi; Nelson, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Willock, Wilshere, Walcott; Giroud.
